William Shakespeare, in one of his most famous tragedies, wrote “There is no world without Verona walls, but purgatory, torture, hell itself”

The beauty of Verona is unquestionable, and, thanks to Shakespeare, more than four centuries later, the city continues to vie for the crown of Italy’s most romantic city along with Venice.

Located at the mouth of the Adige valley and the foot of the Lessini mountains, Verona is a splendid corner of the Veneto Region, which conveys a peculiar magical aura, perhaps due to its mighty Renaissance architecture that speaks of its past splendours, or to the Adige river, which affords wonderful panoramas.
Equally magical is the garden that Spazio Verde created for a private villa in the city, with, first of all, bonsai olive trees and selections of hydrangeas, ancient roses and four-season flowering plants.

An automatic irrigation system was installed with the highest quality Toro® materials, and automatic lighting effects were created with recessed spotlights for plant and flower beds, and bollard lights and immersion spotlights for the swimming pool.

Paths were paved in porphyry stone, with Botticino marble used for the sundeck of the skimmer and salt filtration equipped pool.

For this wonderful villa, we also realized a Paving Green reinforced grass driveway and a natural grass football field, and we supported some natural escarpments by creating green cliffs using Cyclopean boulders.

As for outdoor furnishings, a living area was equipped with natural wood lounge and dining furniture, while the pool area was equipped with sun loungers, tables and a parasol.

In line with the city’s romantic vibe are a treated natural wood gazebo with climbing roses, and powder-coated, wrought iron fences and gates.

To protect the splendid property, various types of anti-intrusion system and video surveillance were installed, while other technological systems included night lighting for the football field, automated gates and video intercoms.

The result? A divine garden. As the Irish dramatist Frank Frankfort Moore once said, “I think that if ever a mortal heard the word of God it would be in a garden at the cool of the day”.
