Lake Garda enjoys a privileged geographical position surrounded by glacier carved morainic hills to the south and high mountain ranges that give it a fjord-like high and narrow shape at its northern end. The mountains protect the lake, creating a climate that is particularly mild and typically sub-Mediterranean. The result is a very rich vegetation consisting of palm, olive, cypress, lemon, oleander and orange trees.

For a luxurious guesthouse, Spazio Verde created a garden as if it were a natural continuation of the landscape planted with olive trees, citrus fruits, a four-season selection of flowering plants, and fifteen twelve-metre-high flowering Phoenix Canariensis palm trees, imported directly from Uruguay. The highly ornamental Phoenix trees give the whole setting an evocative, tropical feeling. To further embellish the scene, a decorative orchard was installed in various stainless steel boxes.

As for irrigation and lighting, first quality materials were used to create a sectioned system for maximum water savings, and lighting effects were composed with low-consumption, energy-saving and reduced light pollution LED spotlights.

As for paving, the driveway is built in reinforced grass protected by grates, areas around the buildings in Botticino marble, and walkways in draining architectural concrete.

The crowning jewels of the project are an infinity pool with salt filtration systems, an independent whirlpool bath and a tennis court with a synthetic grass surface that can be used as a heliport if necessary.

Completing the project are pergolas, gazebos, trellises, a secret garden, a carport, botanical garden structures, railings and fences, all made in hot-dip galvanized and powder-coated steel, Impruneta terracotta pots and outdoor furniture.

Finally, to protect the property, a video surveillance system was installed, consisting of a volumetric and thermal camera anti-intrusion system, while other technological systems included vaporizer cooling systems.

The result? A work of art. As Sir Walter Scott argued, “Nothing is more the child of art than a garden”.
